Abrir para bandas de trayectoria como Obituary e Incantation puede ser un desafío del cual pocas agrupaciones saldrían bien paradas. Dimentianon es una de las que podemos decir cumplió su cometido con dignidad, sin ser en extremo eficientes ni tampoco los más mediocres. El equilibrio demostrado en los cinco cortes de este promocional en vivo, consigue entretener no solo al público que estuvo presente el día del registro, sino también a cualquier headbanger que llegue a toparse con el disco.
La crudeza y el desenfreno del black metal de corte más purista fluyen con fuerza desde la partida. “Your Flesh Is Mine To Exploit” es un tema donde las notas disonantes de las guitarras cortan el viento, mientras la batería, el bajo y la voz las acompañan con la furia característica del estilo, trayendo a la memoria bandas como Bethlehem o Rotting Christ.
“Undying Bliss” e “It Never Ends” continúan la misma línea, mientras “Breath Deep” muestra el lado atmosférico de la banda, con melodías más oscuras y pausadas que le otorgan dinamismo al set list. “Netzach” se convierte en el broche de oro volviendo a la tónica de las primeras canciones, exhibiendo una descomunal furia en sus acordes.
Los que busquen un sonido limpio ciertamente no lo encontrarán en este promocional. Por el contrario, aquellos que gustan de la suciedad y el verdadero espíritu under hallarán en los estadounidenses de Dimentianon una entretenida dosis de ruido para sus oídos. Este trabajo es el último vestigio de la antigua alineación de la banda, que ya compone material para su siguiente larga duración.

Opening for successful and classic bands like Obituary and Incantation can be a challenge that only a few bands could resist. Dimentation is one of the few chosen ones, and we can state they performed their task with dignity, without being neither efficient nor mediocre. The five live songs of this promotional album show balance and they will entertain not only the fans who attended the show, but also any headbanger that listens to the cd.
The harshness of the purest black metal strongly flows from the beginning. “Your flesh is mine to exploit” is a song where the dissonant chords of the guitars go through the wind, while the drums, bass and voice provide the fury of the style, which reminds of bands like Bethlehem and Rotting Christ.
“Undying bliss” and “It never ends” follow the same line, while “Breath deep” shows the melodic side of the band, with darker and slower rhythms that make the set list more dynamic. “Netzach” goes back to the tonic of the first songs and becomes the perfect finale thanks to the massive fury of its chords.
If you’re looking for a clean sound, this is not the album where you will find it. On the contrary, those who enjoy dirty sounds and the true underground spirit will find in this American band a nice dose of noise to please their ears. The album is the last trace of the band’s old line-up, and the current members are already writing new material for their next LP.
